THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF NEW AUCTION ITEMS YOU HAVE NOT SEEN BEFORE. Think Christmas, birthdays and gifts. There are some fantastic items up for grabs that will go very quickly, first in first served. Here is your chance to ‘Early and Absentee Bid’ on the Silent Auction items.

Up to 80% discount on some of the buy it now items.

We also know extended family members and friends would enjoy a chance to bid on items.  We want everyone to be able to win as many of these SILENT auction items as possible.  If you cannot attend the silent auction or know of someone who would enjoy bidding, you can win these special items by BIDDING NOW.

All online bids must be submitted by 7pmThursday, October 20th, 2011.  Remember to bid high, so that your bid might qualify as a winning bid. Have fun looking at this “Official” catalog online of items that are NOW up for bidding.

Auction Rules and Information

SILENT AUCTION RULES and INFORMATION

  • All online bids must be submitted by 7pmThursday, October 20th, 2011.
  • The auction will be re-open from 10am until 3.30pm sharp on Saturday the 22nd October and winners will be able to pay for and collect their items at the silent auction stall (or before the fair if a ‘buy it now’ winner.

PLEASE READ ALL BID SHEETS CAREFULLY!

  • There are “Buy It Now” items with a set price. You bid and you win. First come first served basis.
  • The starting bid cannot be lower than the “Minimum Bid” amount indicated.
  • A bid constitutes an agreement to buy the auction item for the bid amount.
  • There is no limit to the number of times any particular item can be bid on by an individual, unless noted on the bid sheet itself.
  • Bidding must stop only when the section is declared closed!
  • A bid sheet may not be removed by anyone other than the official “silent auction coordinators” at time specified.

PAYMENT AND PICK-UP

  • You will be notified via email once your payment has been approved if you are a ‘buy it now’ winner. Arrangements will be then made for your item collection.
  • All items are sold “as is” and all sales are final.

The online bidding phase of the silent auction will operate until 7pm on the Thursday evening before the fair. Bidding will then restart at 10am and continue until 3.30pm on the day of the fair at the Silent Auction stall, if any items are still available only. Please note online bidding will not be available after 7pm on Thursday 20thst October.

Silent Auction

The list of auction items available for bidding can be viewed online via the schools website.

You have two ways to bid:

  1. Bid online (via this website)
  2. Bid at the SPRING FAIR: Bidding will restart when the doors open at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until the auction closes at 3.30 p.m.

Auction winners will be declared shortly after the auction closes at 3.30 p.m. Bring your cheque book! If you are present after the auction closes, please pay by cheque and take your item home with you. If you have won an item but are not present, we will contact you by phone or email the following week.

PLEASE NOTE: BY PLACING A BID FOR AN ITEM YOU ARE AGREEING TO PAY THE BID AMOUNT TO BURRANEER BAY PUBLIC SCHOOL P&C IF YOU ARE THE WINNING BIDDER.
PLEASE PAY FOR AND PICK YOUR ITEMS UP ON THE DAY OF THE FAIR or PRIOR TO THE FAIR IF YOU ARE THE ‘BUY IT NOW WINNER’.

TIPS ON SUCCESSFUL BIDDING

Here are some tips on how you can secure the item your are bidding on.

1. Maximum Bid – Setting a ‘high’ or ‘ceiling bid’ on any item will help you secure the item you are bidding on. But remember you can always be outbid, so check back regularly to confirm you are still the highest bidder. You can also refresh (F5) the screen to ensure your bid is still the highest.

2. Buy It Now – All of our auctions are available using the buy it now feature, the product will remain on the site until payment has been confirmed from available auctions even if a ‘high’ or ‘ceiling bid’ has been placed. Therefore if you are bidding on an item and want to secure it prior to auction end, we encourage use of the Buy It Now feature.
